2026 Louisiana Justice Hall of Fame Inductees 



Liz Murrill, Attorney General of Louisiana — the first woman elected to the office and a nationally respected appellate attorney whose career spans decades of public service and constitutional advocacy. 



Brandon J. Fremin, Former United States Attorney for the Middle District of Louisiana — a federal prosecutor and U.S. Marine Corps veteran recognized for leadership in violent-crime prosecution, disaster-fraud enforcement, and law-enforcement training statewide. 



Sam Craft, Sheriff of Vernon Parish — a long-serving parish sheriff known for community-focused leadership, professional law enforcement, and innovative reentry and rehabilitation initiatives. 



John E. Ballance, Sheriff of Bienville Parish — a rural law-enforcement leader respected for operational excellence, youth engagement, and steady leadership across multiple terms in office. 



Ernest “Bim” Coulberston, Chief of Police and Town Marshal of Farmerville — a lifelong public servant recognized for compassionate, community-first policing and youth mentorship. 



Loren Lampert, Judge, Ninth Judicial District Court — whose nearly four-decade career spans service as a sheriff’s deputy, prosecutor, police chief, statewide legal leader, and elected judge.
