The 3rd Annual Baton Rouge Soul Food Festival offers two days of fabulous southern cuisine and non-stop live music. The family friendly event provides people from Louisiana and the surrounding states opportunities to listen to incredible music, shop in the Vendors Village, with an array of arts and crafts, eat lots and lots of good food and showcase their culinary skills, in judged soul food competitions. Local talent expected to date includes the blues, soul, funk and reggae band Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor, along with the Listening Room All-Stars who should include blues rapper Lee Tyme, gospel/jazz singer Wyanda Paul, singer/songwriter Larry “LZ” Dillon, comedian Eddie “Cool” Deemer and ‘Nspire, a spoken word artist. Entries and categories for the Soul Food Competition are available on the website. The event is free to the public. Lawn seating. VIP packages include food, drinks, giveaways and a covered seating area. Soul Food tickets are $25.00 and include two food and two soft drink tickets and photo ops. VIP tickets are $100.00 and include four food and soft drink tickets, two festival T-shirts, music downloads and photo ops.
