The 5th Annual Baton Rouge Soul Food Festival kicks off with a Greens, Beans and Chicken Wings Party on Thursday, May 12 at Henry Turner Jr.’s Listening Room. The event is from 7pm to midnight. Tickets are $25.00 in advance and $30 at the door. Admission includes a Soul Food Buffet. No-host bar. 

It is a sneak peek of some of the food and the talent that will be at the free festival at Riverfront Plaza on Saturday and Sunday May 14 and 15, from 11am to 8pm. Right next to the USS Kidd. 

Performers include Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor, the Listening Room All-Stars featuring comedian Eddie Cool Deemer, Kelton ‘Nspire Harper and the Inspiration Band, Larry "LZ" Dillon, Owen Scott, April Nicole and Sir AP, to name a few.
