About This Event

Trumpet, flugelhorn player, band leader, and producer George Bell brings more than 50 years of musical experience rooted in Louisiana tradition to this special Batiste Legacy Session.

George’s passion for music began in Thibodaux, Louisiana, and carried him through an accomplished academic and performance career, earning honors including selection to the Louisiana All-State Jazz Ensemble and Orchestra, Outstanding Musician at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, and multiple awards at Nicholls State University for his work in jazz ensemble, concert band, and marching band.

For this intimate $10 Batiste Legacy Session, the evening opens with the house band in performance, followed by conversation and music with George Bell himself. The night then turns into something truly special as the stage opens for a community jam session where musicians are invited to sit in and play alongside the band.

A celebration of Louisiana music, mentorship, and legacy, this is your chance to hear the stories, feel the groove, and take part in the music.
