Roy "Gramps" Morgan is a Jamaican-American singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, producer, record executive, and entrepreneur, known for his work with the Grammy-winning reggae band Morgan Heritage and his solo career.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised partially in Springfield, Massachusetts, he is the son of reggae artist Denroy Morgan.
Gramps is recognized for his musical versatility, collaborating with artists across genres and exploring diverse musical styles.
Morgan Heritage gained prominence after debuting at Jamaica's Reggae Sunsplash Festival.
The group signed with MCA Records in 1994 and achieved success with albums like "Strictly Roots," which won a Grammy.
Morgan has collaborated with many different artists, including India.Arie, John Legend, and Kenny Rogers.
Gramps is currently on tour performing his NEW & GRAMMY NOMINATED Country Reggae album - NO WATER IN MY WHISKEY!!
