“Music Dreams…An American Story” is a half-hour documentary on Louisiana musician Henry Turner, Jr. The film explores the evolution of his music and his band, & Flavor, and covers his prolific and diverse career in the music industry. It features musical performances, interviews with family members, past and present band members, national and regional entertainment executives, club owners and musicians. Some of them include Teddy Johnson, owner of Teddy's Juke Joint, Lynwood Ourso, former Louisiana Music Commissioner, Eric Cager of the Cutting Edge Conference in New Orleans, as well as the 'King and Queen' of the Gut Bucket Blues, SmokeHouse Porter and Miss Mamie. Viewers and attendees comments have included…“beautifully done...”, “interesting, refreshing and deep understanding of the blues…”, “excellent cinematography” and “definitely worth the watch.” Admission includes film screening, Q&A, acoustic performance and a DVD of the film.
