Each summer, players of fiddles, mandolins, acoustic guitars and upright basses … er, flock to the Felicianas for Arts For All's Songbird Music School held at BirdMan Coffee shop and 3V Tourist Courts. If it ever seems like you practice and practice your instrument without seeing much improvement, this weekend program of intensive workshops is just the thing. Ideally suited to beginning- to intermediate-level participants, Songbird's series offers small classes and all-day opportunities to learn from, and play with, accomplished musicians and musical teachers. Teaching this year are Heather Feierabend (voice and beginning songwriting), Eric Schmitt (beginning songwriting), Alan Morton (mandolin), Kat Carlson (ukelele), Doc Chaney, Michael Holmes, Susan Aysen and Adrian Percy (Jam Camp), David Hinson (the cabin orchestra which takes beginners and has them playing a song by the end of the weekend) Luc Borms (harmonica), Arnold Cardon (intermediate and more- guitar!). Tickets give participants weekend-long carte blanche to learn more, play more, and sing more music than they they do already. All this plus breakfast and lunch and a chance to hear our phenomenal instructors..and a special closing show by participants at Temple Sinai. Sessions are as follows:

• July 4-5: beginning Songwriting Class with Eric Schmitt And Heather Feierabend 12 slots. $225.
• July 6-7: Instrument Classes ($225) & Jam Camp ($200).
