ABOUT JOE MARCINEK

Too jazzy for the jam bands. Too jammy for the jazz fans. Welcome to the genre-defying world of Joe Marcinek, where boundaries dissolve and spontaneity reigns.

Joe Marcinek is a guitarist, composer, and bandleader who creates an experience—not just a show — every time he steps on stage. Based around the concept that anything can happen at any time, the Joe Marcinek Band (JMB) features an ever-rotating lineup of legendary musicians from across the musical

spectrum. Every performance is a one-time-only collaboration, making each night a unique event that fans will never experience the same way twice.

Joe has carved out a space entirely his own—

fusing elements of Chicago blues, New Orleans funk, jazz fusion, and psychedelic rock.

Over the years, Joe has had the rare honor of

collaborating with some of music’s most revered figures. He performed a dozen shows with Bernie Worrell (Parliament Funkadelic), who also recorded on Joe’s album Slink. The track “Bernie,” dedicated to Worrell, was

the final recording of Bernie’s storied career before his passing.

Joe has been collaborating with Melvin Seals ( erry Garcia Band) and George Porter Jr. (The Meters) since 2017, and both appear on his acclaimed album Dead Funk Summit, featuring all original compositions.

Joe tours nationally year-round, from New York to Los Angeles and everywhere in between, bringing his singular approach to stages across the country. Each night is a new story, written in real time by some of the best players in the world.

“The gift comes from the Divine, but it’s not truly a gift until you can give it away.” Joe Marcinek lives by this mantra. And with every show, every song, and every collaboration, he

continues to give the gift of music—raw, real, and unlike anything else.

ABOUT MARC STONE

Slide guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Marc Stone has had a breakout 2024, releasing his first studio album since before the pandemic and bringing his rootsy, Blues and Funk infused originals to premier venues, festivals and national television. Equally at home bringing the fire with his electric band, leading intricate all star projects, and tearing it up for packed houses with just a guitar and a mic, Stone has been described by OffBeat Magazine as “some sort of glorious Elton John/Walter ‘Wolfman’ Washington mashup”.

Released in April by Sony imprint Bent River Records, Stone’s star-studded, all-original studio album Shining Like A Diamond features Leo Nocentelli and George Porter, Jr. of the Meters, Joy Clark, Mike Dillon, Bruce “Sunpie” Barnes, Lilli Lewis, Weedie Braimah, Meschiya Lake, Papa Mali, Alvin “Youngblood” Hart, Marilyn Barbarin and many more. Drawing on his years playing with masters of Blues, Funk and Zydeco and collaborating with singer-songwriters, Jazz artists, African drum masters, rappers, poets and dreamers of all descriptions, Shining Like A Diamond takes the listener on a 34 minute journey across the American musical landscape as Stone tells concise and soulful stories of cheating, crime, digital dissonance and the never ending quest for the truth.

The album’s first single “The Truth (Is What I Wanna Know)” was featured in AMC TV’s new crime drama “Parish” starring Giancarlo Esposito, and the album has been receiving rave reviews. Writer Brett Milano says of the album "his latest shows how many ways there are to make a hip, modern blues record without relying on the obvious guitar-slinging thing...these songs are worth the care they get” and Roots Music Report gave the album five stars calling it “a Best of the Year candidate.”

On the live front Stone has been everywhere at once on the New Orleans scene this year. He capped the spring season with a band set and his first ever solo set at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. In addition to club and festival shows with his band and duo concerts with slide guitar legend and Son House flame-keeper John Mooney, Stone has been invited to add his ethereal and adventurous lap steel playing to up and coming rock and psychedelic bands including Atom Cat, Degenerate Piknic, Hollyrock and others.

On the roots side of things 2024 has seen Marc leading the first all star Blues show at the newly reopened Dew Drop Inn with the original Dap King Ernie Vincent and Bruce “Sunpie” Barnes, doing television and festival appearances with the legendary Batiste family, closing French Quarter Fest and opening Jazz Fest with Rockin’ Dopsie, Jr. and the Zydeco Twisters and appearing on shows with Kenny Neal, Wally Ingrahm, Ed Williams of the Revivalists, Roy Rogers, Wayne Baker Brooks, Alvin “Youngblood” Hart, Carolyn Wonderland and Brooks Hibbert. In the midst of all this music making, Stone finds time to share his love of music by hosting the Soul Serenade on New Orleans Jazz and Heritage station WWOZ 90.7-fm, as well as teaching music and organizing projects that bring together artists of different generations and musical backgrounds.

SPECIAL GUEST - STUD FORD

Stud Ford is the grandson of Blues Legend T Model Ford. Stud began to perform all around the world with his granddad performing at local juke joints like "Red's" in Clarksdale, MS to major festivals like The Telluride Blues and Brews Festival in Colorado. At age 14 Stud was asked to fill the shoes of his grandfather, not only as a musician but as the man of the house now.

Stud began touring with Hillcountry Blues legend, Lightnin Malcolm, which led to him touring with the North Mississippi Allstars and from there Stud has been rockin', playing the drums and guitar for different bands and people keeping his promise to his granddad and Blues culture. Stud has since toured with Blues Legends Bill'Howln-MaddPerry , R L Boyce, Johnny Rawls, and creating his own sound and style introducing other artists' to the style of blues that he specializes in like Jessie Cotton stone, AJ Fullerton, Cactus, and with his recent partner in crime Will Coppage.

QUOTE: "When I was a boy I didn't understand why my granddad was making me play all night in those Juke Joints as a kid but when he passed and I got older I understood that he was teaching me my culture and how to save it. I DON'T JUST PLAY THE BLUES, I AM THE BLUES AND I AM BREAKING THE CYCLE AND REWRITING IT!!!!! FACTS!!!"

Stud has been hitting it hard just coming back from his international tour in Switzerland playing the Blues Rules Festival, also just played the Hill Country Picnic, Bukka White Festival etc.... Stud is on fire and doesn't plan on stopping any time soon.
