About This Event
Marty Baron, a former newspaper executive, has covered some of the biggest stories in American journalism. He was the Executive Editor of the Miami Herald when it covered the 2000 presidential election recount. He led the Boston Globe through its coverage of the Catholic Church abuse scandal, as depicted in the movie Spotlight. Baron was Executive Editor of the Washington Post from 2013 to 2021, where he navigated with the motto "Democracy dies in darkness."
