Angola Prison Rodeo

Each year in April and October, the Angola Prison Rodeo invites thousands to Louisiana State Penitentiary to experience events including bull riding, bareback riding, a wild horse race, barrel racing, bull-dogging, wild cow milking, convict poker, rodeo clowns, and more. The arts & crafts show, which features hundreds of items handmade by Louisiana State Penitentiary inmates, is almost as popular.
