Louisiana Nurses Foundation
The Louisiana Nurses Foundation was founded in 1986, and since then its primary focus has been to promote professional nursing through awarding academic scholarships, providing professional development, recognizing nursing accomplishments, and establishing and distributing funds for the Nurse Relief Fund.
Priorities:
- Charitable Assistance: The Nurse Relief Fund helps nurses impacted by catastrophic events through the Nurse Relief Fund.
- Scholarly Development: The LNF Scholarships provides financial support to both undergraduate and graduate students to ensure that diverse individuals from all walks of life can afford to enter or advance in nursing.
- Professional Development: The Sister Lucie Leonard Recovering Nurse Fund assists nurses with substance abuse issues by giving them the support they need to stay in the profession.

The mission of the Louisiana Nurses Foundation (LNF) is to advance and support professional nurses in Louisiana through research, education, and serves as the philanthropic arm of the Louisiana State Nurses Association (LSNA).
